Abstract:

A major source of person morbidity and a therapy obstacle for treating clinicians are primary and metastatic malignancies of the spine. Spinal instability, disease progression, neurological deterioration, or persistent symptoms may need surgery for metastases to the spine. There is a more aggressive methodology available with tumor removal "en bloc" compared to less aggressive resection methods. Improving local control and overall survival rates in correctly chosen individuals may be possible with en bloc resection, which involves removing the whole tumor without violating its capsule. On the other hand, compared to conventional resection, this method has a larger risk of complications and calls for a different set of technical abilities.
