Abstract:
Subtalar dislocations are extremely rare injuries in traumatology, with the pure lateral variety being exceptional. Most authors describe isolated cases. This is a serious traumatic emergency requiring rapid intervention. An open wound increases the risk of postoperative complications such as infection. We report a case of open pure lateral subtalar dislocation. The patient underwent surgical management. Reduction was maintained with pins. The outcome was favorable.
