Abstract:

Conclusion: Ruptures were most common in patients with heel pain with trivial and blunt injury mostly degenerative tears. Most ruptures occurred in Zone I. Both Flexor hallucis longus and Peroneus brevis transfers yielded good to excellent results in chronic ruptures >4 weeks old, and with >3cm gap. End to End repair yielded good to excellent result with <4 weeks old and defects less than 3 cm.
