Abstract: Methods: We conducted a prospective study over two years from 2018 to 2020 assessing the role of K wire fixation in open Lisfranc fracture-dislocations, soft tissue healing, the functional and radiological outcome at 1-year follow-up and the complications. A total of 10 patients were enrolled, out of which 7 were males and 3 females, all of which were followed up for a minimum period of one year. The mean age was 38.5 years (range 26-55 years) and the commonest cause of injury was a motor vehicular accident (80%).
