Abstract: The Proximal femur nail is an essential intramedullary device in the internal fixation of Peritrochanteric fractures of the femur. The evolution of the implant has proceeded from extramedullary plates to intramedullary nails which provide stable fixation of peritrochanteric femur fractures.
